You literally just plug the modems ethernet cable into the port manifest “Internet” on the back of the router, then plug the router in and let it boot and it works. Linksys dumbed down everything (or most of everything) with their routers. If your ISP is DSL and requires certification per-connection, then you have to reconfigure the modem to have an “always on” connection. There really isn’t a whole lot of in rank you provided. Also, just to be safe, you are by a wireless competent pc (laptop or desktop) aren’t you?

Since your ISP is vonage, I’m banking on that your modem needs to be reconfigured to be “always on”. If that’s not something you’re competent of doing, contact Vonage and have them instruct you how to do it or have them do it themselves.

If you connect directly to the modem, are you able to access the internet?

Is there a sight on the vonage modem that is charitable you in rank? Or are you getting the in rank from your computer?

Can you log in to the modem through the router?

Have you called vonage and questioned them if they can link to the modem? If so, you need to question them how to configure your router to work with the modem.
