The best one is the one that does the job you need it to do for the price you are willing to pay for it…get a Linksys…they are the simplest to set up and the quality for the price is brilliant.

Either a Linksys or a Buffalo router you can place Tomato firmware on. Lifehacker has a splendid tutorial on rotary your $ 60 router into a $ 600 router.

I went with Buffalo, so the result was a $ 35 router turned into a $ 600 one. :-D

If you’re not looking for a scheme even if, I’ve always plotting Linksys are the simplest to work with. Netgear and D-Link also make quality products. The only brand I’d advise staying away from is Belkin.
