try scanning for it again on your ps3 or place your mast up on your ps3

Make sure the router is connected and working. On the PS3 go to settings then network settings then scan that must work.

Reset the router by unplugging it and replugging it in so it finds the ps3.

You probably have an ancient router..this happened to me. Try doing a blue-collar set up and give your ps3 the IP 192.168.1.9 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 or something by the side of those shape..you need to go to network connections on your computer and the in rank will be there..your router is either __0.1 or 1.1..type in those ips into the url bar and login to router by admin and password except you changed them to find out. DNS is same as gateway/router ip.

~If you get nat type 3, that is terrible..update your firmware for your router and port forward to get nat type 2 or get a newer/better router..netgear rangemax works splendid for me.
