BT Home Hub queries, will another router work?|home router

I recently received a BT Home Hub router, although the connection is very excellent i can’t really use it for Xbox Live since of “strict” NAT settings. So i was wondering if i bought another outer, a “Netgear” one for develop would this work by the side of side my BT internet?

Answer by Jetman
You do not need another router, you austerely need to exchange the settings on the BT Home hub. Open the ports below settings, required for xbox live and other online games to work.

Will that person be by the same external public IP address that was assigned by my ISP to my computer connected to the router?

Answer by sharkpeeps
No its not the same exact number but it will be different number like if yours is 101, theirs will be like 102. If you don’t want them on then block them by going into your router, no matter what the instruction booklet says like for develop 192.168.1.1 and putting a password on it.

The ISP didn’t assign a public IP address to the computer connected to the router. The ISP assigned a public IP to the router. Since they’re by the same router, they’ll have the same public IP address.
