Well if you want increased signal range and fatsre speeds go for the 802.11n router. You will also need a 802.11n wireless adapter to take advantage of the speed and range increase.

If you want to go with 802.11g then they will all more or less the same. There is a Rangebooster G Develop from D-Link.

I prefer to use D-Limks for myself.

the very best is netgear i reckon, look for the rangemax ones, i use a dg834pn and i get excellent signal at the bottom of the garden, it has 108nbps and at smallest amount twice the distance of any other g series router, there is also the rangemax next range which is even better and has a speed of 270mbps which is phenominal

try putting the router upstairs
the mast must work better that way
try moving the mast(s)
try putting the router on the floor
near the center of the house
do not block it with metal boxes ;-)

you CAN use 2 routers on the same network
some linksys routers are LINUX hackable
